Passionate about brand.
Every brand, no matter the industry, has a voice, purpose and identifiable value to share with their audience.
It’s my job to help you creatively tell that story.
Hi! I’m Kelli! I’m a brand psychology obsessed designer and creative consultant who is passionate about building brand experiences. For the past 15 years, I've collaborated across a variety of industries from Food and Bev to Commodity Trading to Fitness and Lifestyle to Skincare and Beauty. I work one-on-one with clients and internal teams to develop and implement brand strategies that drive collective success through both a refined message and a visually strong brand. I am passionate about all aspects of design from concept level to execution.
Whether I'm helping name a business, designing a logo, developing a vision or story, identifying product or service whitespace, doing market research through analytics or developing creative campaigns to pitch your idea through social or experiential branding, I firmly believe that every touchpoint of a brand should be an impactful experience for your audience.
In short, I live for connecting people to creative solutions. I’m a natural problem solver (OK, maybe not when it comes to math) but brainstorming and creating with a team is my sweet spot. It also doesn’t hurt that I have a blast in the process.
10 Principles I live by.
Lead from your highest self.
Certainty and clarity come from awareness and belief in self. Show up as your best self by being clear on your goals, your process, and your purpose so you can lead with expert authority.
Stay curious.
Approach every situation with an open and empathetic mind.
Challenge everything.
There is possibility in everything. Keep pushing, reframing and challenging your solutions.
Never stop learning.
Continuously and passionately throw yourself into your interests and hobbies. You never know what experience will lead to the next big idea.
Always look for potential.
There is unlimited potential in everything and everyone. You are here to expand your future, make a difference and be a part of something bigger than yourself.
Over think then over simplify.
Don’t over complicate. Give context to the core idea and execute with extreme intensity.
Never stop asking why.
Search for the problems behind the problems by gaining clarity through the why. Everything and everyone has a why.
Have integrity.
Know what matters to you and stand by it. Own your expertise, your mistakes and your principles.
Be a champion.
Bring positivity and excitement to everything you do. Be the contagious energy that you crave.
Focus on what matters.
Find the things that matter most and pursue them with laser-like focus. We all have a finite amount of time and resources, spend them wisely.
Some Things About Me …
I’m never short of books to discuss.
I’m always looking for new ways of integrating knowledge and experience so the learning never stops.
Here are some of my favorite books (which was super hard to narrow down btw) and why:
Designing The Mind by Ryan Bush
An amazingly relatable and visual take on how our brains process events through the three dimensions of our psyche: cognitive, behavior and emotion. This book helped me internalize my awareness of emotion in a way that empowers me to choose how I react rather than simply being reactionary; it’s a higher level of thinking about the connection between emotion and behavior.
The Laws of Human Nature by Robert Greene
An epic book (and by epic I mean a thorough 4oo+ pages) on human behavior and how to understand and work within it. It goes without saying that human behavior fascinates me, so naturally learning about these patterns was a big hit.
Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman
This book is all about the importance of empathy, active listening and awareness. So much of life is experienced between the lines of what is said, and this book helps you pick up on those insightful moments to build more meaningful connections.
The Molecule of More by Daniel Lieberman, MD and Michael Long
This book is a deep dive into understanding the pleasure seeking brain chemical, Dopamine, and how it can literally be the maker and breaker of the human mind. Incredible read for any creative who’s questioned their own mental make up or was ever curious about how creativity happens.
Music is life …
I’ve always been a music junkie. Music is a universal language, bringing people together to share and sing along in a single moment of time as if nothing else matters. As a concert photographer, I’ve been lucky enough to capture the essence of that energy during some pretty amazing performances, and for those memories I’ll forever be grateful. If you’re curious to see, check out my concert photos here.
